How is template pricing determined on AutoVectors?
Template Pricing Logic at AutoVectors
Template pricing on AutoVectors is based on reverse engineering technology, vehicle production period, and model exclusivity. This pricing structure ensures transparent costs while maintaining consistent, professional accuracy across all template kits.

Pricing for Modern and Exclusive Vehicle Models (2020+)
For vehicles produced from 2020 onwards, as well as rare, exclusive, limited-production or collectible models, templates are engineered using modern reverse engineering workflows and advanced 3D scanning technologies.
These models often require increased engineering effort due to:
- higher surface complexity,
- tighter tolerances,
- and limited physical accessibility for scanning and validation.
Pricing for these vehicles:
- Full Kit — $180
- Max Kit — $150
- Extended Kit — $100
- Standard Kit — $70
This pricing reflects the high precision level, increased engineering complexity, and the accuracy required for real-world PPF and vinyl wrap applications.
Pricing for Older, Non-Exclusive Vehicle Models (Pre-2020)
For non-exclusive vehicles produced before 2020, templates were created using earlier-generation reverse engineering methods.
While still accurate and fully usable for professional work, these workflows required fewer engineering resources compared to modern 3D scanning–based processes.
Pricing for these vehicles:
- Full Kit — $80
- Max Kit — $70
- Extended Kit — $50
- Standard Kit — $40
This pricing ensures accessibility while maintaining reliable fitment and consistent results in real-world installations.
Why Pricing May Differ Between Templates
Because modern reverse engineering workflows require advanced scanning hardware, specialized surface-processing software, and additional validation steps, template pricing may vary depending on when a pattern was engineered and which reverse engineering method was used.
A detailed, technical explanation of this pricing logic and workflow evolution is available here:

Summary
AutoVectors template pricing reflects:
- the reverse engineering methodology used,
- the complexity and accessibility of the vehicle model,
- and the level of accuracy required for professional PPF and vinyl wrap work.
This approach allows us to maintain transparent pricing and consistent professional quality across all vehicle categories and template kits — regardless of vehicle age.
Why do Full Kit template prices differ?
Full Kit template prices on AutoVectors differ for two clear and transparent reasons related to reverse engineering technology and vehicle accessibility.
1. Reverse engineering technology (before and after 2020)
Templates created before 2020 were produced using earlier-generation reverse engineering methods. While accurate for their time, these workflows relied on older surface-capture technologies and provided a lower precision level compared to modern standards.
From 2020 onwards, AutoVectors fully upgraded its reverse engineering workflow. We now use advanced 3D scanning equipment and modern surface-processing software, allowing us to create highly accurate, true-scale 1:1 vector templates with improved fitment, cleaner edges and reduced installation error.
Because of this technological upgrade, pricing is structured as follows:
Templates created from 2020 onwards are priced at $180.
Templates created before 2020 are priced at $80.

2. Model rarity, exclusivity and physical accessibility
Some vehicle models, despite being produced before 2020, remain priced at $180.
This applies to rare, exclusive, limited-production or collectible vehicles that are significantly harder to access for physical scanning and verification.
In these cases, the higher price reflects the additional effort required to document the vehicle correctly. This includes limited availability of physical vehicles, increased complexity of data acquisition and validation, and extra engineering time needed to ensure professional-level accuracy.
These models require substantially more resources to engineer properly, regardless of their production year.
Summary
Full Kit pricing reflects the precision of the reverse engineering technology used and the practical difficulty of accessing and engineering specific vehicle models.
This approach ensures consistent professional quality and reliable fitment across all AutoVectors templates, regardless of vehicle age.
I can't find the pattern I need. What should I do?
If you don’t see the pattern you're looking for, reach out to us! Some patterns may not yet be uploaded to our store, or we may have them in our database but haven't published them yet. We’ll do our best to help you find what you need.
Are the templates true 1:1 scale and optimized for plotter cutting?
Yes, all our templates are engineered in true 1:1 scale and prepared for professional plotter cutting workflows. Most patterns are designed with approximately ±1 mm precision based on OEM geometry. In rare cases, depending on the vehicle’s curves, surface complexity or available reference data, the tolerance may reach approximately ±2–4 mm.
How can I verify compatibility before purchasing a digital pattern?
To ensure you select the correct pattern, always check three key details before purchasing:
1. Vehicle model year and chassis code
These define the exact generation (pre-facelift, facelift, or model-year changes). Even a single year difference may change bumper shape, hood length or headlight geometry.
2. Trim and bumper configuration
Patterns are based on OEM designs. The easiest way to confirm compatibility is by comparing the bumper layout, grille sections and fog-light or sensor positions with your vehicle.
3. Headlight and taillight shape
Lighting geometry is often the quickest visual indicator. If the outline matches, the front fascia is usually the correct version.
If you are unsure, you can always contact us before purchasing and we will help verify the exact fitment based on your car’s details or photos.
Do you update templates when improvements are made?
Yes. Templates are updated whenever improvements, refinements or geometry corrections are made. If a pattern you previously purchased receives an update, you automatically get access to the newest version at no additional cost. The updated download link is instantly delivered to your email once the revision is published, ensuring you always work with the latest and most accurate pattern available.
How do I receive the patterns after purchase?
As soon as your payment is processed, you will instantly receive a download link for the files.
