Introducing AutoVectors Studio — From Vector Template to Plotter, Without the Lock-In

AUTOVECTORS // STUDIO

A vehicle template should be something you own — not something you can only use while a subscription is active.

That idea has always been at the center of AutoVectors. We build downloadable vector templates that you can keep, edit and use in the software and workflow that makes sense for your shop.

But there was still one practical step between downloading a template and sending it to a plotter: laying all those vehicle-shaped parts onto a straight roll of film.

That is why we built AutoVectors Studio.

Your template. Your roll. Ready to cut.

AutoVectors Studio is free browser-based software for laying out, editing, nesting and preparing vehicle vector templates for plotter cutting.

Nothing to install. No account. No licence key. No paid tier.

Best with SVG or PDF · Also opens PLT and PDF-compatible AI

The missing step between a template and a plotter

A downloaded vehicle template is normally arranged the way the parts sit on the vehicle. That makes the file easy to understand and work with — but your film roll is a long, straight strip.

Before cutting, those bumpers, fenders, doors, mirrors and smaller pieces have to be rearranged to fit the usable width of your material.

You can absolutely do that manually in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator or another vector program. Studio does not take that option away.

We simply wanted to make the repetitive part faster.

What Studio actually does

Studio was built around the things that happen during a real PPF, vinyl and plotter-cutting workflow — not around adding features just to make a longer software list.

Real-shape autonesting

Studio packs the actual vector shapes instead of simply placing rectangular boxes around them. Curved parts can fit into the available space around other curved parts.

Your real working width

Set the roll width and the usable cutting width separately so the layout reflects the space your plotter can actually use.

Manual control stays manual

Position any part yourself, keep it fixed, and let Studio arrange the remaining pieces around your decisions.

Built-in vector editing

Adjust nodes, curves and contours, add material where you need extra film, simplify unnecessary nodes and make practical changes before cutting.

One worksheet = one plotter run

Split a full vehicle kit into manageable worksheets instead of treating the entire job as one endless strip of film.

Normal vector files out

Export your worksheets as PLT, DXF, SVG or EPS at true 1:1 scale and continue with your normal cutting workflow.

We sell templates, not access to your own work.

Studio is a convenience, never a lock.

No subscription. No lock-in.

There is an important reason Studio is free.

Our product is the template.

When you purchase an AutoVectors template, we believe the useful thing you bought should be the actual vector file — not temporary permission to access it through a closed system.

Download it. Keep it. Organize it in your own library. Open it in CorelDRAW. Open it in Illustrator. Modify it for the way you install. Use your preferred film. Use your preferred cutting software.

And if Studio makes the job faster, use Studio.

If another tool works better for a particular job, use that instead.

The workflow should belong to the installer.

Studio is not limited to AutoVectors templates

We deliberately did not build Studio as a locked viewer that only recognizes files purchased from our store.

If you already have a compatible vector template — whether you created it yourself, received it from a customer or purchased it elsewhere — you can bring that file into Studio too.

Because the purpose of the software is simple: help you prepare vector geometry for the roll and get it to the plotter.

Built for real-size cutting

Vehicle protection templates are not graphics that can be casually resized to “look right.” Millimetres matter.

Studio keeps exported geometry at true 1:1 real-world scale and includes a 100 × 100 mm calibration square so you can verify your cutting workflow before committing valuable material to a full job.

It also checks the layout before export and keeps inner contours associated with the parts they belong to.

NO FILE? NO PROBLEM.

This is where AutoVectors is going

AutoVectors started with a simple idea: build accurate vehicle vector templates and make them available as real downloadable files.

Studio is the next part of that idea.

Not by turning the template library into another closed software subscription, but by making independent files easier to use.

We want the distance between finding a vehicle template and having film ready for installation to become shorter:

Find the vehicle.
Own the template.
Prepare the roll.
Cut it.
Get to work.

The library will keep growing. Studio will keep improving. But the principle stays the same:

Your templates should remain yours.
The software should help you use them — not become the reason you are allowed to use them.
